The Ford Ranger arrived on our shores this year after a long hiatus, but the North American truck is based on a design that's been on the global market since 2012. With that said, it's due for a redesign in just a few years. Recently, Australia's Wheels Magazine posted images of what could be the next-generation Ranger.
As the publication points out, the truck shares design cues with the 2020 Super Duty that was unveiled a few weeks ago. This truck appears to have a similar grille setup, C-shaped headlights, square foglight housings, and two-tone split rear bumper. From the front, this truck looks like an F-Series, but the proportions look closer to those of the midsize Ranger. The pictures were taken just this week in an outer Melbourne suburb, according to Wheels Magazine. It looks to us like the truck was being positioned for a photo shoot, judging by the lighting and the wheel dolly visible on the right front wheel. The background has been masked to hide the location, and our photographers detect some Photoshop touch-up throughout the images. Wheels Magazine believes this may be a clay model based on the blacked-out windows.

February 22nd, 2019 01:57 PM #4Wala naman silbe yan Ranger Raptor sa asia , eh wala naman malaking desert dito eh. If you ask me na Amerikano lang mgs bumile nyan
Lumapad lang dahil sa tapalodo saka gulong, tapos mas humina pa makina vs the wildtrak. Tapos wildtrak fully equipped pa ng sensors , lane assist, front collision alert as well as the digital instrument panel.
Naawa nga ako pag nakakkita ng raptor sa edsa , parang gusto nya kumawala eh kaya lang ang traffic at ang sikip talaga eh,
The best pa din Wildtrak , you get the macho pickup look pero drives like an expedition in terms of city drive and comfort hihi

Paanong mas mahina makina ng Ranger Raptor sa Wildtrak? Eh di ba same lang na 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel yung makina nung dalawa? The 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel is rated at 213PS/500Nm while the older 3.2L 5-cylinder turbo diesel was only rated at 200PS/470Nm.
Nowadays, engine displacement is not an accurate measure of output unless you live like 20 years behind.

February 22nd, 2019 03:06 PM #7Mahina yan kasi palpak ang tubro ng 2.2L wildtrak vs the 3.2 wildtrak , yan ang reklamo sa Ranger lineup ever since the first facia . Yan ang achilles heel ng ranger thats why the Hilux and the Navarra are still catching up
Ang ginawa ng Ford eh ginawang bi-turbo ang raptor pero same displacement, Why just not fit the more durable 3.2L wilddtrak engine to the ranger raptor? Eh for obvious reasons cost cutting, and instead dinaan na lang bigger body, suspension ang gulong and of course marketing ads hihi
Maybe i used the term mahina, pero i actually meant durable / reliable, long lasting.
Actually meron Australian outback test yan eh sa youtube wherein they still prefer the 3.2 wildtrak vs the new Ranger Raptor . In fact ni race pa nga nila eh, 3.2 wildtrak vs Raptor vs Chevy colorado , pinakakulelat and Raptor sa acceleration , and this is soil meadow plain lang

February 22nd, 2019 03:30 PM #9Eto observation ko lang namn after countlesss readings / youtube videos
Turbo in diesel engine is safer pag ang displacement is 3.0 up. Maybe thats why the Pajero bk is a tank of an old workhorse.
Per experience, our former Starex GRX Crdi nagleak ang tubro after so many uears nman of use, pero 2.5L yun, eto Santa Fe ko may minor leaks na ang turbo at 2.2L crdi,
Now, our family 3-2 DId 2013 Pajero bk halos walang major mainenance yun, change oil lang, and yet the engine runs like new even until now 2019.
So my theory (take note theory lang ha not fact) , sa lower displacment engine grabe ang trabaho ng turbo, lalo na pag bumper traffic kasi hinde makatakbo ng mabilis ng matagal so lagi nag activate ang turbo at a certain speed the off na naman pag na traffic, so on so forth But with a 3.0 up displacment, the engine does not require turbo services often coz it can compensate for the slow movement. Eh kasi nga 3.0 is truck territory na yun eh, compensated talaga yan slow movement or heavy loads.
So yan bi turbo na yan, if course it sounds good coz two is better than one , pero eto ma utilize mo lang talaga pag continuous high speed ka, which is not a reality here in Manila
So forgive me for saying this pero tingen ko talaga those who get raptors and use it in city, for the show lang talaga ang purpose, and they dont understsnds this. Ma initindihan siguro nila 3-5 years from now if those turbos start to fail prematurely, mahina pa naman ngaun ang P100k sa isang turbo replacement
Bago pa naman yan raptor eh, well see. Pero di ba nga the last model of the ford escape did not sell well even if its bi turbo kasi madami apprehensions eh.
Now the ranger raptor is first bi-turbo diesel tas low displacement pa. Katakot

^^^ The last generation Escape (Ecoboost models) did not sell well locally because of the competition. The CUV market has been led by Subaru/Mazda/Honda for gas-powered models and Hyundai/Kia for diesel-powered models.
As expected, in response to Tesla’s entry into the Philippines market, Ford will be bringing in the...
