Surely unlikely since the Everest's doors can always be opened from the inside, regardless if it is locked or not.

You can open the door from the inside even it is locked on the drivers door only. Not all doors.

All doors can be opened from the inside, unless child lock is activated on the rear doors. This is a safety feature of the current generation of Everests which some owners find surprising and sometimes annoying, especially those that are used to the traditional locking system of cars.

But even assuming your statement is true, still it will not be the cause of the damaged latch since the damage was on the driver's door based on the pictures posted.

Baka same ng sa mga 2012 model onward na ford ranger yan. If so, madami na siguro niyan sa mga surplusan like evangelista, banawe or if may alam o kilala sa pampanga. HTH

Salamat po... nasa Batangas lang ako today but pauwi na ng Manila mamya... i will go sa casa tingnan mo lang if may warranty mismo ang Ford... 1 year and 5 months pa lang naman... then pupunta ako sa insurance ko tapos susuyurin ang Banawe...

Sa casa ka lang makabili nyan. It happened sa escape ko yan dati, i got replacement from casa. It would cost just above a thousand peso.

Kasi they can always argue that the door lock latch handle (or whatever they want to call it) is not meant for pulling the door close.
