Looks the same as the current one. Most probably won't sell well locally. Nilalangaw yung Escape kahit bagong labas palang.

January 13th, 2016 11:57 PM #8Have a neighbor who owns a red titanium... It's a looker but it really looks small in the metal... Kinda an ecosport sporting the right proportions... Tsk... I don't really see how I can plunk in 1.6M++ on this. I really think it should have undercut the CRV ... Say 1.2-1.3M?

Ford priced the base model of the escape 90k more than the base model of the forester and more than the base everest. We actually looked at this in a ford dealership and we simply found it underwhelming for the price.

A CUV with a 2.0L turbo engine rated at 240hp for 1.3M? Sign me up on it. However, that is wishful thinking. The only car you can have with the most output for less than 1.3M is the Focus 1.5L Ecoboost (rated at 180hp/240Nm, same power & torque as most midsize sedans or CUV's with a 2.4L or 2.5L NA engine).
The Escape Titanium is powered by a 2.0L turbo engine which is more at par with the power output king of CUVs, the Forester XT. It is cheaper than the Forester XT (1.8M) but they say it is not as athletic as the Forester XT.
However, power output and performance is not a sure ticket for good sales (specially in the Philippines).Last edited by Egan101; January 14th, 2016 at 12:24 PM.
