I am about to buy an Ecosport finally, but then I heard again from a friend of mine she got an eco matic 2 years ago still has problem in transmission it has a drag she said. Ms Amy Perez just bought a Titanium I heard from her radio program that it has a vibration and now seeking help from DTI.

August 1st, 2016 11:13 PM #1536In general, if gamitin mo sa province oto or wala masyadong stop and go traffic sa area na pag gamitan mo. Okay lang DCT.
Kung araw araw sabak ka sa manila stop and go traffic, lalabas talaga ang sira ng DCT. Pwersado kasi ung clutch nya sa pag engage at disengage. Mapa dry or wet type pa yan.. FYI, 300-400 thousand and isang buong DCT tranny sa ford.

It's the nature of the DCT tranny, not that it's unreliable. You have to learn to understand how it responds in different traffic conditions. Driving it like the usual AT will surely make you feel irritated due to its clankiness in slow moving traffic. Try to drive it like an MT car and modulate gas input based on the conditions you're facing.
Euro (VW-Audi, BMW, Mercedes, etc.) cars use DCT heavily in their model lineup. If they are unreliable, then they would not be used across the world.

August 27th, 2016 01:37 PM #1540Hello,
Advise ko po is to avoid the FORD Eco DCT.
Brand new ito last year Oct lang , imagine. IMO, masyado mabait ang general users in handling this issue. Cguro kasi extended ang warranty kya di pa masyado ramdam ang impact, or maybe di sya directly related sa impending accidents kya mild ang issue, and the FORD still enjoying and confidently selling these types.
As expected, in response to Tesla’s entry into the Philippines market, Ford will be bringing in the...
