Meron ba kayong updates kung may solid release date na ito saten?

kaya daming bumibili, its because of india's price of the ecosport.

in india the lowest end variant 1.5L gas ecosport starts at 582,300 rupees. in pesos thats only 406,736 (kasing presyo lang ng suzuki alto)

the lowest end 1.5L diesel is 701,300 rupees. thats equivalent to only 490k pesos. (parang low end mirage lang ang price)

the lowest end 1.0L gas ecoboost is 813,859 rupees. that only 569k pesos. (parang high end mirage lang)

ang pinaka top of the line titanium (O) variant 1.5L diesel costs 937,290. in pesos thats only 655k (parang avanza j lang ang price)

if ford philippines will price the ecosport like how they price it in india. bukas pa lang, lilinya na ako sa ford for a reservation. kahit na siguro 1 year waiting list with 50% reservation fee, babayaran ko agad. LOL

but i doubt ford philippines can offer the ecosport at those prices.

Sa aten, tingin ko nasa gitna ang price between Fiesta and Escape. Maybe Php 800k-900k.
Ang tagal lang talaga ng release, wala parin announcement na solid.

In India vehicles that are under 4-meters long get a much lower tax rate. The Indian EcoSport has a slightly restyled lower front bumper to shave off a few millimeters to bring its overall length down to under 4-meters long (they don't count the external rear spare), this explains why the EcoSport is priced lower than the Fiesta sedan in India.

In the UK for example, the EcoSport is about £500 (P35K) more expensive than a similarly equipped (same trim/engine) Fiesta.

The EcoSport's closest (indirect) competitors here are the Suzuki SX4 Crossover (P899K) and Kia Soul (P919K)

The EcoSport B-segment crossover and Innova MPV belong to two very different segments which are targeted at different consumers.

Take note, most top-of-the-line B-segment hatchbacks and sedans cost between P800K and P900K including Toyota's own Vios, so a car-based crossover in the P800K+ to P900K+ range isn't that bad.

PS: The Vios, Corolla Altis & Hilux all overalp with the Innova range pricewise, but they all co-exists because they belong to different segments.

Ford Philippines' reply to that question is on my previous post, thanks.

The EcoSport will be the next new Ford to be launched here.
At the moment, the focus is on the recently unveiled Fiesta Sport+ 1.0 EcoBoost.
