i am wondering,
does this electronic oil monitoring system correlate well with the traditional 5000 or 10,000 km oil change intervals?
I think there's no correlation anymore. Based on other owners experience so far, their units are already 15k kms in odo but oil life is still around 40%.

so i am curious,
do they follow the built-in oil monitoring system on when to change oil, or do they change oil in the traditional 5000, 10,000, or even 15,000 km intervals ?

For the Everest Ford AU is using 15K intervals but i think the oil monitoring system is employing printer math(calculating based on usage rather than actual sensor readings) in gauging oil quality.

Just my guess: generally depends on age.
Old timers are more comfortable to follow the traditional 10k kms (or earlier) oil change frequency, while younger ones are following the new Intelligent Oil Life Monitoring (IOLM) algorithm on their dashboard and/or app.
