Which Foreign Nationalities Do Filipinos Prefer to Marry?

For Filipino grooms, Australian women top the list, being the most preferred nationality for all three years. The next three places shift between Chinese, American, and Canadian brides depending on the year, with Japanese women rounding out the top five.

On the other hand, Filipino brides have more consistent favorites, with the top spots remaining consistent for all three years. American men ranked first, having twice as many grooms as Japanese men, which came in second. Rounding up the top three are Australian men, with Korean and British grooms fighting for the fourth and fifth spots each year.

We also noticed that the Filipino woman and foreign man are a much more common pair than the reverse. For every Filipino groom marrying a foreign bride, there are over seven Filipino brides marrying foreign grooms.
