4JA1 Engine (isuzu hilander-90k km) problem is every morning you have to step on the gas pedal pagkastart kundi mamamatay makina,yung idle is bumababa hanggang mamatay. im curious bakit ganito kasi pag after mga 5mins ok na naman , so meaning yung idle adjustment e ok naman, iniisip ko pag inadjust ko idle na mas mataas (nasa 800rpm currently) e pag uminit makina baka nasa 1300rpm na diba. ano ba ang nag aadjust ng idle sa startup ng makina pag cold start pa sa umaga?

December 24th, 2008 11:10 AM #2kailangan diyan scan test muna para malaman kung idle motor related or yung fuel trim mo may prublema . i.e. vacuum leaks

December 24th, 2008 06:06 PM #4anong fuel trim ang ibig mong sabihin,kasi ang short term fuel or long term fuel trim ay iaactivate lang ng ecm kung ang intake system ay makadetect ngrich or lean air pero hindi base sa engine temperature.ang consern ni carlogt ay rough idle at cold start and besides kung may vacuum leak man ang system,kahit mainit na ang makina o kahit sobra isang oras mang nakaidle ang engine ay rough pa rin yan.palagay ko hindi dyan ang problema nya.
icheck mo daw kung may secondary air injection system.and base sa mga nabasa kong mga comment ng mga experienced tsikoters dito ay ang pinaka posibleng dahilan nyan ay glow plug kung diesel.

just did some digging. 4ja1 engines daw ng isuzu walang glow plugs. naku back to square one.

ang sa akin , at ibig kung sabihin ay scan test muna para malaman kung may codes o wala
yung fuel trim naman kung hindi ka pamilyar sa scanner, mahirap maintindihan
medyo complicated
may mga cases ako na naencountered na rough idle sa start up dahil sa vacuum leaks( pero hindi ko sinasabi na may vacuum leaks ang oto niya)
pag warmed up na , okey na ang idle .
if you want to know more, or to know how to monitor the fuel trim ( fuel trim diagnostics) i have it available you just have to have a scanner ( i have SOLUS PRO BY SNAP-ON)

Na-experience ko rin yan before. But mine is a WLT diesel engine (mazda). Pag start ko sa umaga e rough idle na parang mamatay yung makina. It was traced on a defective solenoid actuating the vacuum line for the cold start accelerator. doon ko rin nalaman na dalawa pala ang idle up activation na nakakabit sa injection pump nung WLT engine. Isa para sa cold start at isa para sa air-con. kung sa umaga ka lang nag kaka problema pag start malamang yung cold start accelerator yan. At pag normal na engine temp at nag rough idle (low rpm) ka pag ON ng aircon malamang yung idle up para sa aircon ang may problema.
