September 25th, 2018 04:52 PM #61Wag ka papa-salestalk diyan sa casa!
Change oil & filter is all you need at 1k mileage.
Possibly, inspection lang din ng belt tension & pedal free play to make sure properly settled in na yung parts. (Unless your manual expressly states otherwise)
If they don't let you watch your vehicle being serviced, make sure they really replace each part they claim to have replaced. On one of our vehicles' 1k PMS, nilagyan ko ng "engraved" scratch mark dun sa oil filter with a nail para may palatandaan, so if they didn't replace it, I'd know.

September 25th, 2018 09:57 PM #63Kaya nga sa casa papagawa yung 1k PMS.
It's the "extra service"they add on that you have to be wary about.

Unfortunately, for all of us who buy new cars, PMS is something you will have to accept. Mabigat lang nga if you have an amortization to pay along with it. Pero ganun talaga, if you want to keep your warranty to protect yourself from future repair costs in case, then go for the PMS, if you feel that you can handle the future repairs, then opt out of it. Nasa manual naman yung maintenance schedules ( for harsh conditions). Nakakalito lang talaga with all the suggestions. Kia has a completely different PMS sched from Hyundai although subsidiary sya. For my Sportage diesel, walang 1st 1k pms, every 5k (change oil, filter, a/c filter). Sa Hyundai may first 1k pms, change transaxle oil, change oil & filter then every 5k, change filter & top up, every 10k change oil & filter, change a/c filter, change air filter & so on. May additives & cleaners na ibebenta rin, na kung ayaw mo naman di pipilitin. Bottom line, business nila yun at nasasaiyo kung gusto mo avail services nila.

Or something like...
Bottom line, business nila yun at malas mo kung di mo alam na sinisingitan ka nila ng useless add-ons nila.
Because they will never volunteer the word "optional" for these ****, and in case you happened to notice these add-ons, they use the word "recommended".
