June 29th, 2005 11:56 AM #1hello,
ano ba ang normal RPM kapag naka idle?

parang masyadong mataas ata? pwede ko ba adjust to ng mag isa?

June 29th, 2005 12:53 PM #2Idle speed may vary between different engines but the most common speed is around 750 rpm. Load-compensated idle speed, like when the a/c is operated, may be a little higher at around 900 rpm.
Diesels have an idle adjustment knob or screw on the fuel pump/distributor and may have a solenoid activated idle up actuator.
Sorry I'm not intimately familiar with the Pajero engine (4m41?) so I can't give you the exact details.

June 30th, 2005 10:35 AM #4Lifted from the 4d56 Workshop Manual
1. Turn A/C and lamps OFF
- Inspect and adjust at no load
2. Warm engine until idle stabilizes
3. Confirm idle speed is at prescribed value
- 750 plus/minus 100 r/min
Hope this helps
