December 11th, 2013 05:04 PM #1Hello,
Just bought a 1999 GSR with 60k milage (legit since kilala ko may ari).
the story, regular ang change oil every 5k , spark plugs are changed last 2010.
for sure : balak ko na mag palit ng timing belt (tama naman po diba).
wondering : spark plugs since kakapalit lang so 50/50 ako
ano pa po ba mga sir ang magandang ipa check ? or palitan ?

Spark plugs are ok na hindi palitan. Papalya naman yan kung may bumigay.
What I would say is, change all fluids, from coolant, ps fluid, brake fluid, engine oil, etc. Standard practice yun for second hand.

Well if you trust the person that sold you the car, pwede hindi na engine oil. I don't trust anyone selling 2nd hand kaya I do those para sure and may basis na ko kung kelan change fluids. O ya, tama pati gear oil (m/t) or atf (a/t) palit na rin.
Yes, if the car is old, baka may build up na sa radiator. Mura lang naman, around 500 to 1000 php Palinis.

December 11th, 2013 06:16 PM #7Cguro mas maganda since kilala mo may ari ask mo kung may records sya ng mga maintenance done, if all the fluids were replaced within the past year or 10,000kms then no need to change any of them immediately.
