July 9th, 2017 09:41 AM #1My Corolla GLi starts instantly after cranking, diretso, agad-agad ...
Kahit mga bagong sasakyan, my friends honda city, my sisters vios, meron talagang 1-2 seconds cranking time bago mag fully start ..

July 9th, 2017 09:59 AM #2you can spend a small fortune investigating it, and still come to the same conclusion, "but it starts, reliably..."
i'd list it down under "manufacturing and adjusting tolerances".
if this has been going on for some time now, with no sign of deteriorating, i wouldn't worry too much.
i'd enjoy the drive.
have fun.

July 9th, 2017 10:21 AM #4No .. I never thought of this while driving other new cars (city & vios), I thought maybe because they are newer models thats why they have a maybe 1 and 1/2 second cranking on cold start before the engine starts ..
But when I borrowed my co-workers Corolla GLi, same as mine, thats when I realized that her car starts the same as modern cars on cold starts while mine start almost instantly with no delay cranking ..
This lead me to think is my distributor advance in timing because it starts instantly which I know shouldn't be ..

As the saying goes ... if it ain't broke, don't fix it ...
Wonder what you would do if your car does 15 km / liter fuel efficiency while other cars are doing only 7 km / liter on the same route and traffic conditions ...Last edited by Walter; July 9th, 2017 at 10:27 AM.
