January 3rd, 2008 01:46 PM #1Isa ko pong kakilala, every 25k daw sa odo niya, hinahaluan niya ng mga 7 liters na kerosene ang isang tankful of diesel sa SUV niya. Subok na daw niya ito as fuel injector cleaner. Totoo kayang effective ito? Ano ang
posibleng maging negative effect kung meron?

This is not recommended, because this may damage your injector nozzles in the long run. You are better off having your diesel ride checked and calibrated regularly. Using Biodiesel regularly is also ok.

January 3rd, 2008 04:34 PM #3Though kerosene may clean your injectors, it may do more damage since it's lubricating capability is poor.
I've heard that kerosene is sometimes used in colder countries to improve fuel viscousity and pumpability; but not to lubricate injectors. Mix ratios are strictly adhered to.
Excessive and repeated use of kerosene is not good.

bili ka na lang ng mga injector cleaner sa ACE, handyman or car accessory shops para safe.

January 4th, 2008 01:30 AM #5best thing to do if you think your nozzles are not working properly is to have them checked and cleaned in the calibration shop. annual replacement of fuel filter and periodic draining of h2o in the water separator is recommended.
