im trying to search the whole forum kung may kaparehas ako ng problem sa tsikot ko. there's a weird 'tok tok tok' sound kasi coming from the hood. (parang galing sa engine eh).
anyway, ganito kasi... pag-on ng engine and todo ng aircon, tapos press ng gas ng malupet.. magsisimula na lumabas yung weird sound whenever i press on the gas. when i turn-off the aircon, tuloy tuloy parin ang 'tok tok tok' sound whenever i press on the gas. after a few minutes, nawawala na yung tunog..

April 2nd, 2010 04:03 PM #5Noise is difficult to locate, but let me give you some idea that may help locate the sound. If the sound you hear is cycling whereby when the sound appears try reving the engine a little higher, if the sound increase in frequency then this noise most likely comes from a rotating part, but if does not, then it might be a loose bolt or broken bracket.
Look first on the other part of the engine, try removing the fan belt one by one to isolate the problem.
When locating the noise, try to focus your ear, and move your head away and near the suspected sound. So as to have a narrow list of suspected parts.
