Hello everyone! Have read the best oil for 4d56 from the mitsubishi section, read through engine and fuel system section kaso ang haba ng mga opinios and sadly wala akong mapulot na info pertaining sa queries ko or tinamad lang ako. Well anyway, here it goes:

The vehicle is a 1995 hyundai h100. Newly overhauled due to an alternator pressure hose damage leading to engine lossing all its oil while running at high speed ( and hindi nakita ng driver yung indicator light ng low oil pessure sa dash)

About to reach its first 1000 km since the overhaul, ano ang recommended nyo na oil? Was thinking of using mobil delvac 1 (5w-40) or mobil delvac mx (15w-30?)? i peeped through the process of overhauling, daming sludge yung engine and the usual oil that were using is petron rev-x with regular maintenance scheds kaya iwas muna ako dun.

Yung recommended type of oil as stated sa manual are SAE 30, 15w-40, 10w-40, and 5w-30. Pwede kaya yung delvac 1?

    Thanks in advance!

I would prefer 5W-40, Para safe ang newly built engine mo lalu na sa starting di masyado stress. Curious lang ako dun sa Petron Rev-X Trekker ba ang gamit mo before? and ilan times ka na nagpachange oil sa Petron. Eto din kasi ang ginagamit ko since then and mag 16Years na ang Advie ko at wala pa ding iniindang repair job maliban sa twice nako nagpalit ng Timing belt at mga suspensions.

Unless you live in a cold climate, maybe 15w-40 is still better especially since it's summer.

I'm curious though with your Petron experience. Which variant were you using and how often were your oil change intervals?

At 1000 km engine flush mo para madala yung naiwan na sludge then gamitan mo sya ng either 10w40 or 15w40.
Bahala ka na kung gusto mo semi or fully synthetic

We recently did a general overhaul on our Kia Besta 2.7 (J2 engine) We used a Top1 Diesel Oil (synthetic) + Top HD 40 I forgot the oil grade...almost 4months na....Oil price was costly but worth it! I noticed na mas pino ang andar at hindi ganon kabilis umakyat yung temp. remains only at 1/4, saka less smoke compared sa dati namin gamit na langis which is mo40 of petron.

    Top1 Synthetic Diesel Oil is 15w40. Top1 HD 40 is straight/mono grade 40 oil.

Rev-x that i was using before was a monograde (not sure if it is the term) SAE-30. The engine never gave us problems and i never thought may sludge build-up, pero nung pumutok yung pressurized hose dun sa alternator running at high speed, it was knocking everywhere. After 18 years, pagbukas ng engine for overhauling, dun daming sludge sa crankcase and dun sa camshaft areas.

I was thinking of going synthetic pairing it with a baldwin filter. So ok lng yung 5w-40?
