May 12th, 2013 02:46 AM #11Basta hindi mas mababa sa recommended octane ng kotse niyo yung bnebenta sa stations, there's still no benefit of using higher octane fuel. Performance enhancing additives are the ones that give premium to more expensive variants. Not the octane.

May 14th, 2013 07:48 PM #13Mga Kaibigan - please pass these info around: bagong classification ng DOE tungkol sa gasoline - Regular Grade Gasoline, color green, RON 91 to 94, 10% ethanol (E10): Premium Grade Gasoline, color red, RON 95 to 96, 10% ethanol (E10): and Super Premium Grade (or Premium Plus), color blue, RON 97 up, 10% ethanol (E10). Lahat na ngayon na gasolina mayron 10% ethanol (E10). Ang RON ay Research Octane Number. Karamihan sa mga sasakyan dito sa Pilipinas na gumagamit ng gasolina ay minimum RON 91 ang kailangan (paki check ito sa car manual). Kung ang sasakyan mo ay fuel injected at computerized at gagamit ka ng mas mataas na octane, mas maganda kasi mag aadjust ang timing at maging mas powerful ang makina mo. Lahat na ng gasolina natin sa Pilipinas ay puro unleaded na. Wala na tayo leaded gasoline. Ipinagbawal na ng gobyerno.
