April 12th, 2015 09:29 AM #42this is really quite workable.. if we were out in the boondocks, where help is a plane ride away..
but here in the metro, where a replacement battery is but a phone call away, and a passing taxi with jumper cables for hire are but an arm's sway away...?
and yess.. there's also the battery's lifespan.. he above already called it..

April 12th, 2015 09:56 AM #44Nakikita, may stamp yan kung anung year at week namanufacture yung battery. So kung may back-up battery ka, na kasabay mo binili nung batterya mo, magkakasunod lang ang lifespan nyan halos. And remember nag seself discharge rin yan. And kung lagi mo isasabay rin sa charging ng nakainstall mo na battery, halos sasabay lang lifespan rin nyan.

Vent cap type batteries are dry charged and activated by adding electrolyte. Maintenance free batteries WERE activated at the factory. How long they sit at the store only the store owner may know. Always ask for production date. If they refuse or they can't show you this month and year, take your own risk
