No maintenance or Low maintenance Battery?

I've only tried "maintenance free" batteries. Probably bought around 7 already (several cars), all Motolite coz of the free delivery.

In my experience, namamatay na sya soon after warranty expires (2-6 months). Mostly automatic din mga kotse namin, and hassle lang kasi kung mamatay biglaan. Example one day ok sya, next day ayaw na mag start (hindi man lang hard start the day before para may warning).

I will try "Low Maintenance" for my next purchase. I want to compare kung mas tatagal ang properly maintained "low maintenance" vs "maintenance free".

I use a low maintenance battery on my Altis and its running 4 years hence. I think one factor also is the amount of accessories that run as well (i.e. alarm, aftermarket sounds, etc). I'm going maintenance free when i change batteries as the hassle with the low maintenance ones is it emits more acid and causes corrosion around it.

The maint.-free ones usually last around 3 years with us at the average.

^ganun talaga. tama lang yan, couple of months after ng warranty, MF batt will die on you. generally kasi dapat magpalit na couple of months after ng warranty. kung 1.5yrs ang warranty then before mag 2 years palitan mo na.

Wow ok sya kung 4 years! How often ba nilalagyan ng tubig?
So for your case doble ang life ng "low maintenance".
Sa price naman, para sa Isuzu Trooper nag inquire ako today: Maintenance Free 5700 (Motolite), Low Maintenance 3900 (Outlast lang meron)

bear in mind that the maintenance free battery still needs a little maintenance,i.e: checking the terminal for tightness and corrosion just like its cousin the vent cap type battery. the maintenance free battery cell plates had already been soaking in electrolyte since the day it left the factory. whereas, the vent cap type, is dry charged and is only activated with electrolyte at the store when you pay for it. the vent cap type guarantees fresher battery and thus have just been filled with electrolyte.

^never naman nagkaroon ng corrosion mga terminal ng kotse namin...

I never experienced using low maintenance batt, pero sakin mas ok talaga ang maintenance free no need to check or add water, check terminal lang monthly for white deposits, harabas ka na lang ng harabas. Average life ng maintenance free batt sa akin e 3 to 5 years.

ako ni refill ko ng battery water yun motolite enduro... ok lang kaya yun?

hi guys,
I am a newbie car driver, and i just had my car battery die on me. It is a Motolite Enduro (MF), bought almost 2 years ago by my sister. My question is how do i know i need to replace the battery? I am currently having it charged. Should I buy a new one or will the newly charged battery serve me well. My other question is, the guy at the shop told me to start my car everyday to charge the battery, but i told him I use the car at least 3-4x each week, isnt that enough? Pls advise thanks

I have used several MF batteries in the past and yes it will die just a few months after the warranty. But my current ( still stock ) is a low maintenance Oriental battery is still running fine after 4years and 6 months. This is by far the longest running battery i had. i believe this only has 12months warranty. anyone knows a shop selling this kind of battery. gusto ko sana ganito rin ipalit ko.
