After-sales support for me is a huge decision factor in purchasing vehicles. Another good example is Proton which had a presence here about 10 yrs ago. Where are they now? I dont see their cars running on the streets, owners must have given up on them just as the dealership bailed out.

Yeah, pati FIAT, VOLKSWAGEN, and ALFA ROMEO which are all bigger than GREATWALL, have but dissappeared. They left the car owners hanging out to dry.

If GREATWALL, a much smaller entity, goes out of business in the country, kawawa sigurado ang mga buyers.

Kaya buying a car from a newcomer is a BIG RISK.

About FIAT, tinamaan kami dyan. The problem that we had at the time about FIAT is that we placed it in the people's car category of which the unit itself and the spare parts were too expensive to be labeled as people's car (compared to Kia Pride and Daihatsu Charade back then). That's why we were left with more than a hundred units unsold. What we did instead was to establish a livelihood project with a taxi line 'AFJ Transport' and opened it preferably to unemployed Las Pinas residents na gusto mamasada. Boundary-Hulog system (Their boundary is their installment for the unit). By this, we were able to dispose all the unsold units while giving livelihood to the unemployed heads of families.

Many previous FIAT Uno clients are still in touch and most of them are still getting spare parts from us. The only problem is that they are very expensive that's why some of them would rather dispose the unit and just get a new car or a second hand newer car. But by now, the cars would almost be 20 years old, it's really time to let them rest. Pwede rin irestore kaya lang, mahal nga sobra. Mas cost efficient pa bumili ng GWPeri than to restore a FIAT.

Again, we are still here.

In fairness, that's true. But not ONLY true for new comers as many people, myself included, are having a hard time getting parts for 1988 Mercedes Benz 260E. It's not because MB is no longer there, they are strong and kicking but with new models. It's hard because the parts we are looking for is for a model that is already very old just like the Fiat Uno. The manufacturers no longer produce the parts or some produce only a limited number at a very high price.

It is still recommended to replace old cars after a couple of years or at least before the car troubles come-in. Again, it's only a personal recommendation. Baka kasi may mag violet reaction. hehe

Sir, masyado na rin kasi matanda yung Fiat Uno na model natin dati. Pero depende sa parts, meron parin ibang mga available. Pls try calling Mr. Domeng Ramirez of FCC (FMC's Spare Parts arm) at 8746912 to inquire about the parts that you need. If he can't help you, just send me a private message on the parts that you need coz we might be able to assist in sourcing the necessary parts. Meron din kasing ibang nagrerestore ng Fiat Uno kaya nga lang ay mahal dahil galing pang Italy ang ibang piyesa.
