To those who want to avoid "casa" rates, but would still want a Chevrolet-trained specialist to take care of your car, I would highly recommend Mario.
I believe he used to service cars along West Avenue. Now, he has his own shop at Congressional Avenue (just close to Tandang Sora).
If you are travelling along Visayas Avenue northbound, turn right at Congressional, you'll pass by Jollibee on your right, then Unioil. At that point, there is a U-turn slot, take that. His shop is on the other side - it's beside a car showroom.
If you're at Katipunan northbound, you can take Tandong Sora (prior to Commonwealth), then make sure you take the flyover to Luzon Avenue. From the flyover, you turn left to Congressional. Just go straight. After passing by Tandang Sora, his shop should be around 50 meters or so away (on your right side).
His contact number: 09062796612
He has worked on our Chevrolet Trailblazer (the US version) - for both maintenance and repairs. Impressed with his work and asking price (you may negotiate). You can bring your own parts (from Thunder and other sources) and he'll do the rest. He can get you parts if you don't have the time - it's just a phone call away for him.
One thing is for sure, it will not be trial and error for him. As long as it is the gold bowtie (Chevrolet), he is far knowledgeable and likely knows more than your average mech.
For other vehicles, I actually secure the services of other trusted mechanics who charge less, but if you want your Chevrolet unit to be serviced by someone highly familiar with the ins and outs of your vehicle - and charges you fairly, look no further...
