February 14th, 2014 02:57 AM #451Wrong. TB LTZ will be the 2nd to the last to run out of fuel. I've seen it with my own eyes. Our non VGT Strada had to refuel in Dagupan City, TB LTZ refueled back in Mindanao Avenue. My best friend's Montero GTV had to refuel in San Fernando, La Union before going back to Manila, my TB LTZ refueled in Dagupan City on our way back to Manila from San Fernando, La Union. And I have a heavier right foot than the drivers of both our Strada and my best friend's Montero GTV

February 14th, 2014 03:38 AM #452No one is contesting what you have experienced. However, there are many factors affecting the results: driving style, condition of the vehicles, load carried, tire pressure, wheel tread pattern, etc etc.
What I was saying was, drain a TB LTZ and 2.5 non-VGT Strada's tank, put in the same amount and type of fuel and leave them idling until one of them runs out and the TB will most likely run out first. This assumes they are both stock and the engines are in pristine condition... this is a pretty good gimik. Maybe you can propose that to TCCI and they can setup a test with the TB's direct competitors with one of the automotive magazines or tv shows to feature.

Boss, can you also give me the contact number of Chevy Makati GM where we could avail the seats upgrade for the 2014 4X2 AT. Would like to set an appointment with them and have my bank contact them. Just got approval yesterday from my bank but they contacted Chevy Laguna in Santa Rosa. No seat upgrade offered to us here but I'll try to ask also. This is a new dealership is owned by the Lorenzo group.
Thanks in advance.

February 14th, 2014 10:26 AM #455Been there, done that when my TrailB LTZ was 2 weeks old. Both TrailB and Strada had low fuel, filled them both with P1000 worth of Unioil Euro 4 diesel at the same time, went back to my house along with my brother, and let them idle for 30 mins. The results were in favor of the TrailB. Fuel gauge needle barely moved from above 1/2 when we arrived at home, Strada's fuel gauge moved from 1/2 to about near halfway between 1/2 and 1/4.
By the way I have replied to your PM to me and sent another one

February 14th, 2014 02:44 PM #456i agree and attest to this, despite heavy traffic in roxas b. and driving like crazy in slex (few cars) it's average fuel consumption of the 4x2 at 2.8 is just 12km per litter and it's not even 2 weeks old...considering this is a new car which would always consume more fuel during the break in period... just imagine after it's first 10k kms what would the fuel consumption would be like

February 15th, 2014 06:59 PM #460Kaso nga lang sir, based on my own experience, both of Mitsubishi's 4D56 (VGT and non VGT) and 4M41 engines have inferior fuel consumption than GM's 2.8L Duramax Diesel engine. I know because I have a Strada (non VGT) and a Montero (4M41) and I also drove my bestfriend's Montero GTV thrice na long drive. Mas malayo inaabot ng Trailblazer on a full tank than the Montero and Strada. That's with a heavy foot of mine.
