    3. Meron din bang binigay na parang letter or permit to drive from your dealer?

I will find one for you sir. But just thesame, the temporary plate will not spare you from an apprehending officer. It will just make your car easily seen by the road officers.

The best is to have your invoice ready. The invoice will give you a week free ride. It will be renewed or extended by the dealer there after until your plates are out.

LTO is the reason for the delay sir of plate issuance. They know this, so you are allowed to drive with your current invoice or the extension.

The letter or permit to drive you are inquiring is your sales invoice. You don't have to worry as long as your invoice and extension are with you.

Congratulations! Don't worry so much about the "No Plate - No Travel" policy. Even if it's actively implemented, you are given 7 calendar days grace period to use the new car without plate. That's probably the normal number of days for LTO to issue a plate number. If it's beyond the 7-days, ask for another bogus delivery receipt/invoice from the dealer. That way, you're always within the 7 days grace period. Just make sure you don't inadvertently show the expired DRs. In my case, it took almost 2 months for my plate number to be issued. And this was during the presidential election period when cops were strict in its implementation. One time I was flagged down in a comelec checkpoint, I just showed them the current DR, and no questions asked, They said "thank you sir." Halata naman na bago talaga and Cruze eh. Enjoy your ride.

We had some minor setbacks with the bank, so we'll be getting our unit by Wednesday or Thursday. I'm going down to the showroom today to check out my unit..it's there and waiting for me to come and take her home

I'm also worried about the "No Plate" policy. We were thinking of going to Baguio this christmas with the Cruze (is it advisable to take a roadtrip up north w/out plates?) We won't be getting our plates til January according to the SA.

For the Fun Runners..have fun, be safe, and take some pics!

    or

you can buy it outside (kung cheaper) then have it installed sa casa para hindi ma-void ang warranty.
If I bought HIDs outside CASA then brought it in for CASA to install it..would that void the warranty?

Tks for reminding me about that Hyundai Sonata, indeed I agree its an "awesome" car! For me and others though the Php 360k difference is a significant amount. As I wrote earlier, the choice depends on knowing what each one's priorities are amongst the various features or benefits each brand/car brings. Price aside, the Sonata is a much bigger car, nicer ride I see when I test drove one. Definitely a nicer responsive engine, but also higher fuel consumption I suppose. Aside of cost, 2 things let me ponder about the Hyundai. The test unit I tried suffered from low speed downshiftin shift shock similar to what Honda's are known for, the SA could not explain why. I also find the front grille to "much" hehe. If I chose to spend, I am tempted by the Kia version of this car, the styling is nicer, but horror stories about Kia service quality also give me a bit of a pause. And talking of repair costs, Hyundai parts I recently found out are NOT always low cost, the brake pads of my inlaws 2008 Grand Starex cost a whooping Php 9k/6k for all 4 wheels! My surprise was that it needed replacement at 15TKms, hmmm, for brake pads thats too much! Total PMS cost with oil change came up to PHp 24K!!! No other repairs, just the recommended maintainance...so the diesel fuel cost savings were anyway eaten up by PMS costs...In the end, if anyone cares, total cost of ownership is what matters so this includes repairs AND resale value. For the Chevy, I guess we may lose Php 100k more than a Japanese brand upon resale for cars of the same mileage or year model. Time will tell, though I really wish GM fixes up its service quality, customer service and parts availability fo the sake of new Chevy Cruze car owners who have gambled their hard earned cash on this new car. I remain on the sidelines watching this story unfold before I decide if I will get a Cruze, as usual patience has its advantages. Though the recent cash discount offered to me by an SA at Pasig is tempting hehe.
I actually found drivers seat space was better on cruze than sonata due to it's limited adjustment of seat and sterring column. I'm larger than average and found the sonata quite hard to get into weirdly found getting into the gen coupe easier.

There's nothing to worry about. I drove mine to and from Baguio-Manila twice without plate number, and encountered no problem. It's a festive mood around here this season, and number coding is suspended. So come on up!
