Mga bro, has anyone tried the feature in the video? It doesn't seem to work on mine...

November 12th, 2010 07:57 PM #2302pls do pardon my ignorance on this matter, so what are those LOCK and UNLOCK buttons for? maybe its really just used for locking the car's doors only?
i read in a thread somewhere that they experienced the same problem and their dealers replaced the open button found on the trunk door.
then again I believe these were threads from the US or AUS so maybe they just intentionally removed this feature from the PH released Cruzes since this is pretty much the norm already even with other car brands.
nontheless, sayag tong feature nato, it would have made life much much easier for all Cruze owners here in the PH and personally I think they should have never removed it in the first place, cause it only made what should have been an easy task into a somewhat complicated scenario.

November 13th, 2010 01:57 AM #2306Sir Epats, as far as I know, the Philippine Cruze does not have a remote trunk release feature. We do have the central lock & unlock buttons as shown in the video which opens all the locks, which enables you to open all the doors, the boot & the fuel cover, manually. Maybe the video is about an aftermarket add-on? I agree, it would've been nice to have a remote trunk release, but it's really not too big a deal.
How about a mini-eb in Baguio sir?

Hi mga sirs, I've got my Cruze yesterday from Chevy Pasig; this is my 1st car and just starting to learn about cars.
May mga questions lang po ako & thanks in advance for your inputs:

That's ok po, I was like that when I got my 1st brand new car too.
I don't think your brakes sustained any major damage, but it's always a good idea to check the handbrake lever & the instrument panel before driving off. There is an indicator light in the instrument panel that warns you when the parking brake is engaged. Best to study the manual carefully & understand all the features of the Cruze before driving any long distances. Leave the owner's manual in the glove box in case you need to refer to it.
The fisheye mirror on the side view mirrors is a personal choice. If it makes your driving more comfortable, then go for it. The issue here is safety & if it will make you drive more safely, then have it installed. Vehicle aesthetics should never be a priority unless the vehicle is only for display.
Enjoy your Cruze sir & drive safely!

True. Maybe we can ask TCCI or Sir Awallit if there's a way we can activate this feature. Perhaps a programming of some sort...
That's a great idea.
To Sir Docmav: Are you up for it?
To all other cruze owners and would-be cruze owners, I'm sure one time or the other you've followed this thread. Let's meet up 1 sunny day for coffee and chat.
Pero 1 time sa dealer ko, I was telling them how i find the parking brake a bit high. The Serv. That probably explains why at times, i would hear a loud sound similar to a breaking tension cable. So, kung ok lang namn kagat ng parking brake mo, don't worry about it and write it down in a piece of paper so you won't forget to have it checked the next time you're in a chevy dealer.Congrats bro!
