November 2nd, 2010 01:10 AM #2002good read here guys. not sure kung tama ung napansin ko sa cruze LT/AT ko. I tried 39psi tires and pakiramdam ko ang bilis ng acceleration ng cruze. Then i tried 32psi and medyo mabagal kasi parang kapit na kapit sa kalsada ung tires.
i for one don't mind the 5 seconds difference kasi dito 90% of the speed na allowed is 80. Saka city driving lang naman.
About overtaking naman, hindi ba tyming naman ang kelangan para ka makaovertake ng maayos? bakit ka susugal mag-overtake kung alanganin?

May I join the fray?
Still on the acceleration of the Cruze:
My previous car was the latest Optra 1.6 LSMT with VGiS. That was DEFINITELY underpowered. You stomp on the gas pedal and.....nothing happens.
But now, with my Cruze 1.8 LS AT, I have no problems with passing other cars. A moderate tap on the gas pedal, and the car lurches forward.
However, driving the automatic Cruze with drive by wire technology will be COUNTER-INTUITIVE at first. Let's say for instance that you need to pass the vehicle in front of you quickly. So you FLOOR the pedal thinking maximum acceleration. What happens is that the Cruze hesitates as the computer makes the Auto tranny downshift TWICE, thereby delaying the acceleration. You end up with a screaming engine, with no change in speed. I've learned not to stomp on that pedal in panic, and the Cruze accelerates fine. In fact, overtaking with the Cruze is an exhilarating experience, compared to the Optra. Just learn to operate it properly.
