JOB SUMMARY:

Develops and/or modifies, tests and implements application software to established standards and defined specifications. Develops application software using approved programming languages.

This position will work with systems personnel as well as non-technical internal users.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designs, develops, documents, analyzes, creates, tests or modifies computer programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications

Develops client or internal application requests for either on-line, batch or report programming.

Develops applications using multiple technologies.

Understands requirements and communicate status/concerns.

SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

At least two years of experience in programming concepts and techniques of computer languages. Experience in a number of the following technologies desirable:

Oracle
Visual Basic
.Net
Java
Siebel
Crystal Reports
PL-SQL

Associates degree or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, technical certification or a minimum of 2 years related work experience. Experience working for a firm that has been SEI-CMM certified is a plus.


NEEDED ATTRIBUTES/COMPETENCIES:

Time management, organization skills, self-motivated, commitment to quality and excellent communication skills. Experience working with a US based company and technology organization is desirable.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to work alternative shifts including US ‘daytime’ hours (8:30 am to 5:00 pm EST).

She/He shall contribute to IBON's monthly magazine, EDM, and assist in the production.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Code; AA1)
The candidate must have practical knowledge on administrative work in development institutions.
She/He shall perform secretarial functions such as encoding, filing, and answering phone calls.
She/He shall assist in procurement of office supplies and equipment.
She/He shall assist in general correspondence work.
She/He shall coordinate internal office communication.
She/He shall assist in administrative systematization work of the institution such as updating Manuals.

MANAGING EDITOR (Code: ME)
The candidate should possess managerial skills in running the entire production process of journals, magazines, and publications.
She/He shall assist the Art Editor in conceptualization.
She/He shall copy, content and style-edit all manuscripts.
She/He shall proofread all publications.
She/He shall coordinate with the writers, layout artists, printing press, and other editors on the production process and shall ensure the quality of the products.
She/He is accountable to the Executive Editor.



INTERNATIONAL PROJECT OFFICER (Code: INT)
The candidate must have practical knowledge on international work for people's organizations or non-government institutions
She/He shall act as the manager of IBON's regular international networks, supervising secretariat and network maintenance work and being responsible for correspondence work with partners
She/He shall maintain relations with campaign networks and organizations, supervising correspondence and website maintenance
She/He shall conceptualize and coordinate implementation of international events
She/He shall manage the provision of IBON products and services to the international community
She/He shall assist the International Department Head in conceptualizing the development of international networks and advocacy





BUILDING PROJECT OFFICER
The candidate must have practical knowledge on structural, electrical, plumbing and other technical matters on building construction. A license in engineering is an advantage.
She/He must possess technical and supervisory skills necessary to execute the design of the Architect and ensure progress of construction by the Contractor according to specified quality and schedule.
She/He shall be accountable to the Architect and the IBON Executive Committee on the daily work progress of the Contractor, also relaying specific instructions to the Contractor

update ko pala sa nightmarish experience ko with the guy i'm supposed to bring-in here in my place of work..

1) the agency just lived up with the usual expectations like most of them do.. talking nonsense & just made its image more dirtier..di rin pala kaya ang problema sa STR (subject to regularization) visa..it just delayed us for 18 days to get the 2nd option moving..
2) temporary work permit visa 2nd option..my co. still lived in the old ways..they dont believed with what the embassy's new reqmts..perhaps an offshot of the agency debacle..or, only in d pilipins experiences..after stalling for another week our MD had to gulped his pride hard and toe the line to the reqmts(employmeny contract authentication at phil embassy in the country of destination)..
3) current status: immigration guy (under the table payroll courtesy of my co.) on the way to phil embassy for authentication..
4) implications..i'm swamped with loads of works..well, a working day for me starts & ends for 10 hrs..whatever in between is not gratis, anoh..?
