In UP Diliman, you can do the usual 4 years in 3 years if you just take the extra load and sacrifice your summer breaks for extra subjects. On your first year, you can take an exam to have you earn credits for some subjects and the dean will allow you take the next related subject for the next semester. If you have gone to school before, you can have the general subjects you have taken before (Language, Filipino, History, etc.) be exempted from your curriculum as you have earned credits for them already.

February 18th, 2016 11:37 AM #14Im grad of ICCT rizal..tri sem yun.. for me i enjoy college.. kasi pag tri sem around 5 to 7 subject lang per sem... you can focus more on the subject. Downside nga lang talaga tipid ang bakasyon. Pero ok lang kunting sacrifice lang naman.. nagagawa ko ngang MWF lang pasok ko mga 8am to 6pm lang ako sa school..

you have to factor in yung failures..... isang subject lang binagsak mo isang sem, huli ka na ng isang sem. Also with the sem/term load. madami kasing students, hindi max loads.
in a very common case sa amin sa UST - Eng'g. 5 years talaga dapat, pero average is 6 years.... may umaabot pa ng 7.

naalala ko enroll ako 18 units - math, physics, chem saka english. sama ng tingin ng advisor ko sa akin hahaha! he crossed out the 3 units of english and allowed me to enroll only 15 units for that sem.
na 4.0 pa ako sa math haha! hanga talaga kami sa students ng ibang schools how they could manage 7-8-9 subjects of 25-30 units per sem. i mean, nakakapanuod pa ba sila ng sine? nalalasing pa ba sila? di ba sila marunong mag mahjong?
