Parent Bank and subsidiary bank questions

If you have an account on the parent bank and another account on one of their wholy owned subsidiary and let say nabankcrupt sila pareho. Would you still get the PDIC insured on 2 accounts since they are separate entity or Isa lang?

May cases ba na bankrupt si subsidiary and hindi si parent bank? Or usually magmerge yun sa parent if sakali malugi si subsidiary?

The last ammendment to the PDIC was 2009. The governing body should ammend this to 1-10m per depositor.

I agree, yun current 500k na covered ni PDIC might need to be adjusted na.

Tama, this would also give confidence to invest in smaller banks.

How safe ba to put your money on a subsidiary bank instead of putting it on the main bank nalang especially ngayon time ng pandemic? Let's say BPI direct and BPI.
