October 7th, 2019 10:52 AM #1Hi all,
Basically overheard an acquaintance talking over the phone with her sister. Long story short, the sister is stranded in Saudi -- passport is with the recruiter, and kung saan saan siya pinapalipat ng trabaho. she has already approached the PH embassy there but for some reason they refuse to help. No idea kung malinis ung papeles niya or not.
What other avenues can they explore? ThanksLast edited by badkuk; October 7th, 2019 at 10:57 AM.

Why would the embassy refuse to help? She is a a citizen of our country.
It is against their mandate to refuse any Filipino assistance.
Perhaps the sibling who is here can also file a complaint and seek assistance from the local DFA.

October 7th, 2019 04:58 PM #6Thanks for your responses.
i dunno the details pero inapproach na daw ung embassy and "hindi pinapansin" ung sister nya.
afaik bawal nga maghold ng passport ung employer...yet, here we are. Humihingi pa nga ng pera para maibalik ung passport. Kapwa Pinoy yan ha.
