we're in a rising interest rate environment

newer bonds will pay higher interest

as soon as you buy a bond, there will be newer bonds that pay higher interest

so the bond you bought drops in price

Mas mataas ung online ah, why waste time opening physically? Unless, you don't have an online account of course, or you prefer a paper certificate.

Mababa din interest bigay nila for autoloan or home loan compare sa ibang banks.
Medyo strict nga lang sila sa approval.

ang galing ni metrobank ah kahit konti advertisement.
a significant part of the pie will depend on its so-called captive market. with a big captive market, there's no need for advertisements, unless one need pad one's expense accounts.

clue: "what are metrobank's sister-and-cousin companies (that need to give loans to the costumers)?"

    heh heh heh.

i'm not a finance guy, but i suspect there're more to it that we-on-the-street may not be aware of.
just googling, one sees a potentially vast labyrinth of relationships...
kags probably knows, but he's not talking too much.
