March 1st, 2022 12:49 AM #181does it have to be that detailed?
maybe half a page for basic ho hum information, i.e., name, address, educational background.
the next page and a half will be your previous work experiences with which companies, with a brief description of your responsibilities if you think it will help.
round it up with... in our line, it's scientific publications, awards, recognitions and such.. i do not know what they call it in your neighborhood.
if they think you are a potential hire, they will contact you.
good luck.Last edited by dr. d; March 1st, 2022 at 12:54 AM.

sa last job ko kasi I had 5 roles, then prior to that I had 4 roles. I did not include the minor awards (like my Paulinian friend did) Sa Educational background I deleted na yung mga dean's list pero mahaba pa rin
I am also thinking of deleting languages spoken (pero in our company that's included in the CV format)

March 1st, 2022 01:03 AM #183put in the title of the position, and a very brief description of what you did.
if they are interested, they will call you for more... descriptions.
knowledge of a furrin language is always welcome, what with multi-lingual companies.
and so is... believe it or not... competency with computers. ang daming marunong daw mag-computers, but do not really know the finer points that make one an elegant user.

Yun nga doc ang nakaka analysis paralysis. How to write a brief description that would make them call.
When I was new in the company they offered to pay for German Language class but I declined. Parking is difficult kasi where they hold the classes and I'm too tired na to study after work. Now I regret it. I studied Nihongo and French but forgot about it already

1 page resume for my 9 years of work experience. Key points lang per job experience.
I still have my educational background (HS and college), but as I increase my work experience, will cut these to make more space for future roles.
I can share with you my LinkedIn if you need an idea.

I squeezed my CV into 3 pages and that covers 22 years of work experience. I need not indicate what achievements I had back in high school or college. Just indicated my college degree and the university I got it.
Important things are the key roles and responsibilities within each of your jobs. Also indicate in a summary view your list of skills.
I have been in a position where I review CVs of candidates for positions within the organizations I was part of. I want to read something concise but with emphasis on acquired skills. An interview will validate what is written in the CV. College degree or school where you got it is not as important for me.

Impressive resume format and contents that I have reviewed and interviewed are those with PhD (science and engineering field) at least in my industry, they really know how to market themselves. They are good in writing an IP (intellectual property).
1 page to max of 2 pages, rarely you will flip/scroll the page to look at the 2nd one.
