This is to encourage you to save the enviroment and bring your own bag. Nothing suprising since it's the same in grocery stores in Hong Kong.

i have read all posts from this thread. and i agree with a lot of posters. lahat pinasok na ng SM. pati nga pork barbeque, pancit, spaghetti etc nagbebenta na din SM, mind you na in front of the food court pa further intensifying the competition among stall owners
ang kagandahan lang ng SM, naghi-hire sila ng thousands of workers being paid at minimum wage yun nga lang, on a contractual basis. i know maraming nagagalit sa ganitong set up pero this is NOT SM's fault. THIS IS A LOOPHOLE IN OUR LAW. the only way for SM not to resort to this kind of practice is for lawmakers to amend the law. PERO, contractualization IS NOT UNIQUE in the Philippines. this kind of labor practice is also practiced in the US, Europe and Japan. sa Japan especially, ganyan din ang nangyayari. yung malaliit na groceries ang hindi nagbibigay ng minimum wage. iba pasuweldo lang P150/day. if we want contractualization to end, we must urge our lawmakers to amend it. but i just want to reiterate, contractualization is not unique in the philippines.
another thing about SM is that they pay a lot of taxes ranging from barangay to the national level.
ang hindi ko lang nagustuhan yung pagpasok ng Puregold Jr. ang target market ng Puregold eh yung mga sari sari store owners, ngayon dahil sa Puregold Junior, diretso na kalaban nila ang market nila. another thing about Puregold, there has been a lot of allegation about Puregold being the largest smuggler in the Philippines. ang tagal ko na nababalitaan yan kaya di ako bumibili sa Puregold. sa SM or Robinson ako bumibili
