So that explains why you must get a platinum, world or a signature visa card if you want higher CL. Some banks offer NAFFL on their top tier cards. I already got 3 NAFFL....

They would, actually. Because of the possibility of actually maxing out that limit would always be there, compared to the zero chance of that happening if the credit limit were fixed at a lower amount. Banks want you to loan money from them- lalo na yung may capacity to pay, or with some capacity to pay. Highest risks nila are those who don't bat an eyelash at absconding at paying their debts.

In my small business (18 employees), I've had some who apply for cards, who later max it out buy buying stuff they can't really afford, then try to hide from the collection agencies afterwards. I know kasi the collection agencies call the office and are a nuisance.

I thought that banks would be prudent enough to test your paying capacity first by maxing out your available CL before they increase it. I doubt they would double your CL if the current is under used. Palagay ko sibak ang marketing guy who would recommend that strategy to his Boss [emoji13]

    i barely use my CC.
but the bank has upped my limit to stratospheric heights.
i requested them to "put it back down, please".
but i do have a big placement in that bank.

Oh wow. I can't imagine spending P800k monthly on cards alone. Even if I bought clothes, shoes, clothes, gadgets, jewelry and ate out everyday hindi pa rin aabot P500k.

I get credit cards mainly for convenience, promo on dining (you get 20% sometimes 50% off on restaurants) and lastly access to airport lounges hehe

Mostly dahil meron na siya existing cards with top-tiered credit card companies. Kung may citi + bpi + metro na reference cards, mas malaki ang binibigay na limits.
