BSP just launched this Coin Deposit Machine sa 3 malls initially, MOA, Festival at Robinsons Ermita. You can put those coins you are hoarding on these machines and it will count them. You can then choose if you want to credit it to your e-wallet or get a mall voucher. Tama sabi ng BSP, marami sa atin natutulog lang sa bahay o sasakyan ang mga barya.

What I like is mukhang you don't have to sort the coins. Just dump it into the machine.

June 21st, 2023 10:13 AM #3Finally. When I was in Japan I had this huge jar of 1 yen aluminum coins. I would bring it to a deposit machine at my local Japan Post Bank and dump it into a chute along with 5 (which no vending machine takes) and 10 yen, all mixed in. The machine would automatically count and you can then deposit to your account. ATM machines (most) can also dispense up to the last yen in coins.
