September 7th, 2013 05:51 PM #1Hi! Newbie here.
First of all I would like to apologize if this is the wrong section for this post but this is the closest I can get to a "vehicle security" topic.
I'm thinking of getting a pedal lock like this one:
Amazon.com: Unelko PJAUTO Pedal Jack for Automatic Transmission: Automotive
Anybody know where I can get one (or something like it) locally?
TY in advance!
Pao

September 8th, 2013 11:54 AM #3in my opinion, the more effective gadget in detering would-be carnappers, is the one that is more visible. the steering wheel lock will probably be more effective as a deterent.

The device is actually good as it doesnt depend on the steering wheel which can easily be cut. Rather, it depends in the pedal stem and the floorboards which are both designed to absorb high loads in a crash.
Only thing is, it is not very visible and may not act as a deterrent. I would still layer it with other security devices like an ignition kill switch, alar, erc, to make it more effective
