Do we still need GPS when we can use Smartphone?

mga sir, question lang. yung GPS ba kayang ibigay yung road condition like traffiic gaya ng nagagawa ng waze? lately kasi parang laging may problema yung waze eh. TIA

Here in the Philippines, that service is not available. But in other countries,- yes,- it gives you the traffic condition.....

My GPS took a long while to get connected to the geosync satellite this morning (like I already drove 5-7Km), because of the heavy cloud cover.... I wonder if the phone with GPS is better at this.....
