In real foggy conditions, yellow is better.
In typical city driving use, white (3000 to 5000 kelvin temp) is better.
Note: super white bulbs look nice but are useless when it rains.

August 31st, 2009 02:44 AM #4physics wise, yellow. but i wish their users aim them the right way, that is, low. even lower than lo beam headlights. otherwise, nakakasilaw sa oncoming motorist. white? like the man said, white is useless as it only illuminates the rain and smoke/fog infront of it and nothing more.

People try to be different even if it is illegal. Some people just want to be noticed. The exterior vehicle light are what you see in limited light and can mislead, confuse, distract or irritate some drivers. The only colors permitted by law for a POV are headlight clear, amber for front clearance light and turn signal and red for tail lights and stop lights. Imagine a deviant car that uses green lights for stop lights

between the two, go with yellow. you cannot see white if it is raining for it reflects with the water on the ground.

April 2nd, 2017 08:22 AM #10Re: Yellow vs White light. It more depends on your preference and eyes. Some people see more with Yellow light. Some people see more with White light. Go with whatever is comfortable to you.
There are cars that come with White light as stock already for both headlights and fog lights.
