TPL Date of Coverage

Hi Mga Sirs,

Ask ko lang regarding sa TPL. I just renewed the Comprehensive Insurance ng sasakyan ko. kaso last year ang TPL eh kinuha ko dun sa may LTO na. Since ngayon maaga ko ma renew ang Compre ko kumuha na din ako ng TPL sa current issurance agency ng compre. Ang number ng plate ko is 115 so first week sha ng May ang registration. Ang ginawa ng agency sa date ng TPL is from June 1, 2013 to June 1, 2014. Hindi ba dapat May ang date? baka kasi pag nag renew ako this april eh hindi nila tanggapin ang TPL ko and I need to get a new TPL from LTO accredited agency. Patulong po.

newbie question rin: kinokonsider ba ng LTO yung provision ng compre insurance for TPL? so pag nagrenew ka pedeng yun ang gamitin mong TPL?

No. If you read carefully, the ctpl section of your comprehensive is Deleted.
So you would need to have it endorsed to be issued a seperate COC or certificate of cover.

Iba ang TPL for LTO at comprehensive insurance. Yung kinuha ko sa insurance ko ay isang comprehensive at isang TPL na pang LTO. Binigay ko sa insurance company yung LTO renewal date para imatch nila yung TPL date, para siguradong accepted ng LTO yung TPL ko.

The policy says VTPL Bodily injury and VTPL Property Damage, so it does not apply to the one compulsary paid during registrations (vehicular and driver's license).

In Layman's understanding di ba you get insurance to handle claims from 3rd Party na pedeng mangyari pag nakakaaksidente, eh di lalabas pala you are paying 2 insurances for the same purpose yet you can only claim from one of them.. Or naguguluhan lang ako, hehehe hope someone explains the difference.

Salamat mga sir... hindi ko na makita yung TPL ko dati kasi kinukuha ito ng LTO when you renew... eh hindi ako nakapagpa photo copy so hindi ko na matandaan kung kelan. ang sabi naman ng insurance eh pwede na daw yun pero nag aalangan lang ako kasi nga iba ang date.

3 copies po ctpl. 1 copy each for owner, agent, and LTO.
You can always request a copy from your servicing agent. Dapat me number ka niya.
