Call your insurance.
The best they might do would be to reimburse you the cost of the original 14inch rim since that was the originally the way the car was insured.

Wrong.
the 14inch steel rim is the thing insured. you cannot substitute
on a whim.
If I insured my red shoes under a all risk policy and I damage my adidas
now which is what I am wearing. I cant claim on the policy covering my red shoes
for damages suffered by my adidas.
If you want your magwheels insured then you have to submit to your insurer
invoice receipt and official receipt of the tire and magwheels and pay the corresponding premium
