January 17th, 2019 03:12 PM #1Need advice regarding insurance participation fee, so i got into an accident last week, with TWO motorcycles that occurred at the same time. Base on the police investigation both motorcycles were guilty of the incident, however one of the motorcycles fled the incident after a few seconds of the accident, and its plate number was not recorded/captured. Now i already have my Letter of Authority to commence repairs & repaint on my vehicle but i was surprised to find out that my participation fee doubled instead of the .5% of the sum insured, it was 1%. I called the insurance company and ask for explanation why my participation fee/deductible was doubled. They said TWO motorcycles hit me, hence twice the .5%.
To my fellow drivers is this how participation fee works? is the calculation base on the # of vehicles that hits you even when the incident occurred simultaneously? Thanks.

Parang tama sila dahil magkaiba yun involved.

January 17th, 2019 06:44 PM #6lock in po ako sir for the next 2 years. MAA insurance po kinuha ng BANK.
medyo naguluhan ako sir sa reply mo. Yung insurance na tinutukoy ko dito is insurance ko po hindi insurance ng motor. yung covered dito is yung oto ko hindi yung motor nila.
2. Ang ginawa ng insurance pinadoble yung babayarang participation fee sa part ko so imbes na P3,160 naging P7,236 equivalent to 1%.

[emoji854]
