August 22nd, 2011 04:05 AM #1Nag paplano kasi akong bumili ng car na Honda Civic either 98 or 97..but anyweiz..my main question is ung pag transfer ng owner ship..ndi ko alam ang processo this is going to be my first car na mabibili so please tell me kung panu ung process..
Kasi ung dad ko bumili xa ng 2nd hand car pero ung nagasikaso ng transfer of ownership eh ung seller na mismo..pag dating skanya ng papeles nasa pangalan na nya..and he mentioned something na sa camp krame pa daw kelangan pmunta para sa transfer of ownership..hassle un..lalu na wala aku maxadong time because of work...seller ba tlga dapat ang magasikaso nun? here are some of my main questions:
SIno ba dapat nagpprocess nun? seller or ung buyer?
meron ba institution na pwede bayaran mo sila para sila na maglakad nito?
Kung ako ang mag lalakad ng transfer mismo ano ang process??? Like where do I need to go etc.
Please share me some of your experiences and I will be trully greatful.
Thank you in advance.
CHeers!!!

1. It depends on what you and the seller agreed, if you purchased from a used car dealer, they would normally do the paperworks. If you purchased from a direct seller, it is the buyer who does the paper works unless the seller agrees to do it for you.
2. There are entities that you can pay for their services but I don't hire them and I discourage this, "fixers" is what they are.
3. If you plan to purchase a Honda Civic, the HPG clearance, LTO transfer fees, a good estimate would be 2k to 2.5k.
Answered above, but it depends what car you are purchasing. hth

Yes, Camp Crame for HPG Clearance like macro-etching, it would take 2 or 3 working days to have it, they have rush job but of course you have to slip an additional bucks for that.

1) Para sa PNP clearance, you have to bring the car to Camp Crame together with the copy of the OR/CR and Deed of Sale. Bibigyan ka ng claim stub indicating the time and date when you can get your clearance, if the car is clean.
2) After you have gotten the PNP Clearance, tuloy ka sa LTO district kung saan nakaregistro ang car for the processing of the transfer. You need to submit the Original OR/CR, PNP clearance, and Deed of Sale. Baka hanapan ka din ng identification card. Drivers license pwede. Kung maaga kang nagpaprocess sa LTO, baka pwede mo hintayin ang issuance ng bago mong OR/CR. Di ko lang matandaan kung magkano ang processing fee, pero hindi kamahalan.
Here's hoping you enjoy safe and happy driving with your newly acquired car ! ! !

yun LTO office nakalagay dun sa Certificate of Regitration(CR) mo. Nandun kasi master copy ng LTO.
