Duh... syempre yung pader. Pwede rin kasalanan ni Pnoy kung aktibista yung insurance investigator/appraiser. :D
Actually, the insurance company of the party that bumped your car, if he's comprehensively covered, will settle for your car if it qualifies to be a total loss. If he isn't, then you talk to your insurance company and they will settle and try to claim from the person who bumped you car. Kung ikaw ang nakabangga ng pader, insurance mo yung magbabayad but they will definitely watch your case closely to determine that it was not intentional, etc... CMIIW.

Kung naibangga mo sa pader, or in my case, na-shoot sa manhole/imbornal yung gulong ko (FR), own-damage lang yan. You still pay for the participation fee and sasagutin ng insurance lahat ng nasira.
Nung nahulog gulong ko sa manhole along V. Mapa 2 years ago, dami pinalitan... rim, tire, strut, control arm, lower ball joint, sub-frame, etc. at umabot ng 50K+. Binayaran ko 3,800 participation. And then, sa casa ko pinagawa kaya pag labas, parang bago auto ko.
Bawi na ako 2x over sa premium na binayad ko sa insurance.

April 20th, 2012 01:15 AM #14natawa naman ako. hehehehe.
Own damage ang claim. Kasi ikaw ang bumunggo. Hindi naman pader ang nakabangga sa iyo. Hehehe.
In my case, nabangga yung rear ng car ko, tapos natulak sa pader. Mukhang sandwiched... Yung bumangga sa rear ang siningil ng insurance. Lusot yung pader... Pero nagcclaim pa nga ng property damage yung may ari nung pader. Tumawad na lang insurance.

April 20th, 2012 06:12 PM #17perhaps if you can show that the car, even if repaired, continues to be "unsafe"... as in, vital structural supports have been compromised beyond repair..
