November 20th, 2009 10:42 AM #1hello,
i just had a minor accident and i only have one car and since my relatives from the states are coming this december. i would really be needing the car to be fixed right away. the problem is that my insurance claim is taking sometime. the adjuster is yet to inspect the car this monday. i was wondering if its possible to have the car repaired just after the inspection of the car this monday even without the LOA. i'm willing to shoulder the expenses as long as there is a possibility that the insurance company would reimburse me for my expenses. is this possible? how do i go about this?
the estimated cost of repair is 60K, so i expect that it will take sometime before the insurance company grants my claim.

If you've fulfilled all the requirements, the insurance company is compelled to act upon the claim within a short period of time.
How bad is the damage, and what brand is the car? Some casas give loaner units... while Honda (and this is neat) will give you temporary replacement body parts while they're fixing your original ones.
