Upgrading from stock 14" rims to 15" rims ??

Will I take a hit it fuel economy if I upgrade my stock 14" rims to aftermarket 15" or stock altis 15" rims ???

How much percentage of fuel economy will be decreasing ??

My car is Corolla GLi 96 ..

Theyre are 3 factors to consider, weight of the tires and wheels(rotating mass), rolling resistance of the tires...check out bridgestone ecopia...,lastly width of the wheel itself, this has to do with wind resistance, for me, its not a big deal if youre not driving too fast,

Just go with the plus sizing of tires when increasing rim diameter. Toyo web site has a good guide on how to plus size. 175/70R14 to 185/60R15 for example. Your tires will be a bit wider but lower profiled. I think it will affect your economy by just a bit.

i dont think that there would be an effect on the FC.
just follow the recommended tire diameter/size.

for 14's. the standard size is 175/60/14 for sedans, 185/65/14 for AUVs.
for 15's, it should be 195/55/15 for sedans, 195/60/15 for AUVs. if you go higher lets say 195/60/15 for sedans or 195/65/15 for AUVs, may effect na yan.

I think if there's a decrease, the difference is not significant.

More of a concern I think is the new diameter (for accurate odometer reading and speed). There are online calculators to find out if the new size would be close or similar to stock. We use 195/60R15 for bigbody. Only concern is increased width (full turn of the steering puts the tire rubbing against the wheel well although angle reduction to avoid rubbing is very slight).

* / 25.4 is used to convert the measurement of the tire side wall from mm to inches
