Personal Note: Yes, I'm a Hyundai Kia fanboy (despite not owning one...), so sue me... they put a smile on my face every time I drive one....the new ones, at least... only the new ones.

Note:
Prius at 45.71 mpg (imperial) = 16 km/l (5-10 mph traffic)
Getz at 45.15 mpg (imperial) = 15.8 km/l (5-10 mph traffic)
What do you guys get in traffic at an average 16 km/h?

CRDi will kill hybrids. hehe
Hybrids: very expensive, not that phenomenal a mileage.
CRDi: cheap, high torque, hybrid mileage levels.
ergo, CRDi is the way to go.
I just wish Hyundai put Sequential Bi-Turbo on the next CRDi Santa Fe already. Think BMW 535d power :D

CRDi = common rail direct injection = high pressure direct injection diesel tech.
Both Getz and Accent 1.5 are CRDi.
True midsize > subcompact, but in terms of seating, the Prius and Civic are still compact.

Wow! CRDI is the way to go
Plus it's much cheaper to acquire than hybrids. Go Hyundai!
