Maraming nag sasabi.

Nope, diesel nowadays are not expensive to maintain compared to old diesel engine design.

Pwera sa maraming engine oil sa diesel engine compara sa gasoline yung ibang maintenance ay halos same expenses lang especially if you pms outside casa. Siempre mas magastos ang diesel engine if main parts is to be replace like fuel injectors, turbo charger, etc.

Di na kailangan ang pre heat before start & long idle para painitin ang makina before driving sa new common rail injection engine.

    i agree.
and in my opinion, madalang masira nang mamahalin ang diesel. my diesels haven't broken down in 8, 10 years.. nothing but oil being replaced.

Unlike gas.

that is probably true. diesel engines are built more robustly than gas engines, and spare parts are probably more expensive because they are built more robustly.
but the question is, "just how often does the diesel engine break down?" after all, they are built more robustly...
well, mine have never broken down, after 4, 8, 10 years of regular everyday use.. that's over 100,000 km in one vehicle... and i have never changed a single part all that time.. just keep the air filter clean, replace fuel filter as scheduled, and change oil every 5000 km.

My 92' L300 never had an engine part break, that is for over 250,000+ KM.

I replaced the typical consumables but that is it.

Oh, I also replaced the radiator last year.

So if you can afford the Innova then go for it. In my case, I cannot afford the Innova (at the time of purchase), my wife refuses to ride the L300, AND the public transport fare (ALONE) far outweighs the cost of owning a petrol driven car.
