Assuming a car is maintained properly, its age or mileage will not hamper its handling capabilities. An old Civic FD will drive better than a new Mirage, the main reason of which is the design of its suspension and steering. Our old 6th gen Accord (2001) was a much better car in terms of handling compared to our 2009 City even when it was new.
If you are the usual driver who is never keen on feedback and response (suspension, steering, and engine output), you will have no issue whatsoever driving a less capable car. A Mirage will not be similar to a Fiesta or Mazda2 or Jazz in terms of handling and response.

yes, malambot, hence the body roll
only way to maintain suspension is to replace it...
100k/10 years old car plus our roads will mean it will be due for a replacement... Yes it may seem na pwede pa... But manufacturer's specifications will say otherwise.

October 28th, 2017 12:25 AM #55i read that the totl gls mirage has anti-sway bars in front. that should reduce the.... sway.
a 10 year old corolla's worn suspension can easily be fixed, after which it will drive much better than a brand new mirage.
i have a 14 year old corolla altis, and a once-brand-new mini car. the corolla is nicer on the potholes and corners, even when the mini car was still new.Last edited by dr. d; October 28th, 2017 at 12:31 AM.

Used to drive a big body and i find the interior to be much better compared to my daily mirage. Much more stable on the highway too.

I asked about the GLS' stabilizer... (Nasa spec sheet kasi ng Mitsubishi) may nag comment na small difference daw... Pero sa Malaysia and Thailand, madami akong nakikitang after market na suspension upgrades for the Mirage (Space Star) and G4 (Attrage)
And yes, you can replace the older cars' suspension, I did that years ago when my car turned 10... Drove better than the newly introduced Picanto (it was a long time ago).
Will have to test the New Celerio if time permits... Malapit na mag-drive anak ko and I'm thinking its better if she starts small.
