Ang gaganda ng posts dito. Very informative.
The wife also have a car plan that we plan on availing at same price range ni TS (P700k). Our choices are:
2014 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 GLS CVT 1.2L 3cyl 12valve MIVEC - P718k less P40k discount (if availed till Oct 16).
Freebies: 3M tint, matting, EWD, basic tools, seat cover
2013 Suzuki Dzire 4A/T 4cyl 16valve VVT - P698k
Freebies: Insurance, LTO, 3M tint, EWD, basic tools, seat cover, window visor, backup sensor
2014 Toyota Vios 1.3G 4A/T 1.3L 4cyl 16valve VVTi - P762k
2013 Suzki Swift 4A/T 1.4L 4cyl 16valve VVT - P789k
Freebies: Insurance, LTO, 3M tint, EWD, basic tools, seat cover, window visor, backup sensor
We currently owned a 20015 Suzuki APV A/T. This car is built like a rock, never breaks down and still drives like new (after 149k kms) but the cost of maintenance plus the poor mileage (7-8kms/l) is just too much compared to other cars we've owned.
The wife will be using the car to cover more than 90kms daily going to work and back.
The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 GLS CVT is the most technologically advance among the bunch. Safety features and fuel consumption (per local forums visited, it can do 18kms/l) are also very good. The plastics used, in my opinion, is on the cheap side but the piano finish more than made up for it. The rear seat is flat like a bench, literally. The Mirage are CBUs from Thailand.
The Suzuki Dzire is right on our budget. The fascia looks like the Swift. The driving dynamics are a lot better than the Mirage. NVH is not that good but its not that terrible. The seats are plush and soft. Everything are in place. Upon research FC is good, supposedly at 17km/l. The trunk though is a joke. Dzires are CBUs from India.
The 2014 Toyota Vios is the looker naman among our choices, even the interior looks good. Plus the trunk is humongous and very much usable. Yun nga lang, the 1.3L engine feels taxed and the drive overall is unspirited. Pero and sarap maging pasahero dito. Can't wait to ride on this pag naging taxi na sya. Pantay lahat ng panel gaps and nothing looks out of its place. FC is comparable with the Suzuki Swift A/T. The Vios are also CBUs from Thailand.
In the end, we went for the biggest engine available (Suzuki Swift) among the choices. The driving dynamics and driving experience is a huge bonus since she will be spending a lot of time on it (EDSA traffic to blame). BTW, the wife's company will shoulder the car's maintenance cost for 5 years so this has become a non-issue. Plus this is the only car among our choices that are CBUs from Japan.
The best way to decide is STILL to test drive all of the cars from your choices kasi on paper, the 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 GLS CVT wins hands down while in the looks department, the new 2014 Toyota Vios naman ang lamang.
Just to add, the 2013 Toyota Yaris 4A/T 1.5L 4cyl 16valve VVTi is also a good choice since I've heard that Toyota are now giving huge discounts to both the outgoing 2013 models ng Yaris and Altis. This is due to an all new models for both coming out next year.Last edited by Macky; September 19th, 2013 at 09:15 AM.

Yan din mga choices ko ang pinagpipilian mo and i ended up with the vios.

Mukhang may point yung ahente:
Toyota goes ?class above? with the 2014 Vios | Motioncars
Since 1.3E A/T yung choice ko, mukhang Thailand made sya. Looks like the 1.5E na orange mica metallic colors are the only ones made in the Philippines.
The orange mica metallic color, by the way, is exclusive to Vios made in the Philippines.Last edited by Macky; September 22nd, 2013 at 12:51 PM.

BTW, we have not yet availed the wife's car plan. Naisipan naming pumunta sa Toyota near Mantrade kahapon since medyo nagagandahan nga talaga kami sa bagong Vios and we wanted to be sure sa choice namin. Our SA approached us and told us na may bago silang promo sa Vios. They are offering the JVC DVD HU with AVT Navi system for free plus Platinum tint (back and side windows with 3M front full windshield), and rust proofing for free. Kaso di na libre LTO (P7,200) and bumaba to P5,000 from P27,000 yung discount. Meron din additional P5,000 na babayaran para sa panel nung DVD since yung 1.3E A/T model integrated na yung audio. Napapaisip kami lalo hehe...

September 23rd, 2013 03:21 AM #68I got the 1.5g orange vios, i think its exclusive to the g variant.
G models are 1.5 engines, beige interiors including seats, rear disk brakes and powerfolding side mirrors,
E models are only 1.3 engines, black interior 14 inch wheels. I dont know if dual airbags.
Driver airbag and Abs are across all variant
