June 5th, 2016 07:07 PM #1actually i was planning to get accent hb or jazz but flood might be a problem so i'm going for a crossover instead.
based on my budget, either HR-V E or CX-5 maxx would fit the bill. since i needed to save more, i'll probably buy around late 2016 or early 2017. kindly share your thoughts on which is a better buy between the two.
thanks!

2.0L skyactiv is worth the extra penny. And the yojin service package is good imo even though some say its abit too much. Ive seen the cx5 go thru 350mm water hehehe.
So many hr-v and vezels in kl malaysia. Its super popupar there. It looks small from the outside.

June 9th, 2016 06:56 PM #8I've seen a CX5 fording a flooded East Ave. near Heart Center. All traffic was stopped at either side of the flooded area with only the buses crossing. Water level was lapping on his headlights if I remember correctly. It was only after he crossed safely that I decided to cross (with a Revo diesel) 😁. All the lights on my instrument panel were blinking erratically even then. My hats off to that brave/foolish guy. Haha~
I once drove our Tribute 2.3 through a flooded Sto. Domingo St. Flood wasn't that high, with quite a few taxis in front of me. Even then I could feel the water hitting the floorpan. Even though I've seen that it's air intake is somewhere behind the left headlight, it scared the hell out of me. 😄
