July 23rd, 2009 03:33 PM #1Hi All,
I am currently choosing between the strada and dmax. porma at amenity wise maganda ang strada. kaya lang ung ung custom edition with all the amenities are available only on the 4x4 high end. wala silang 4x2 at hindi maganda ang amenities sa 4x2. high end kasi mahal.
sa dmax, a lot are saying na pag diesel technology, isuzu ka na. actually ok na sakin ung pricing ng dmax eh at 4x2 variant kaya lang tlgang hindi maganda porma.
need your further advises on this and of course suggestion nyo what dealer i could get a very good deal in terms of promos and financing.
Regards,
Chedv

Strada siempre, pero wait for the new version, lumabas na yun sa Thailand so it should be here anytime soon.
Totoo yan 20years ago but not anymore.
sa mga non-luxury brands, the leader is Hyunda-KIA with their German CRDi technology. Their R-Engine series can produce 200-220hp/461Nm out of a 2.2L block.
sa mga luxury, siempre BMW, VW Audi at MB.

I know someone with an Alterra who had his fuel intake system taken down. Unfortunately he isn't computer literate kaya di makapost dito hehe. Isuzu managed to replace it and no problems thereafter.
I'm sure marami nang comparo sa pickups dito if you backread. Best way is still to test drive both vehicles (exactly the variant you want) if that's possible. And make it a looong test drive.
Malakas nga yung CRDi ng Hyundai/Kia, specifically the ones on the Starex and the Santa Fe. Kaya lang wala naman silang pickup

i would definitely choose the strada. it has a comfortable car-like ride which is a feature not present in most pick-ups. pero baka may lalabas na new facelifted model soon. pictures of this have been seen on the net already and there was also a thread here regarding this upcoming facelift. the new grille looks like the endeavor SUV's.

The Strada is far and away the most sophisticated, chassis-wise (body strength, safety and modernity) amongst the current crop of pickups. The Ranger and Navara are better to drive, but neither can quite match the comfort of the Strada, though the Navara comes close.
In terms of diesel tech, all of these new pickups, D-Max included, are picky when it comes to fuel choice... Only time will tell if the local fuel quality will improve to the point where direct injection issues become less of an issue... but until then, as long as you pick your stations wisely and change your fuel filter more often, you should be relatively safe.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
