which one is faster?
civic 2.0 2009 curb weight = 1295kg
or
lancer ex glx 2009 curb weight = 1290?

sino kaya ang mananalo sa racing d2, gusto ko bumili ng car na mabilis namimili ako sa dalawa speed lang ang gusto ko wala akong care sa price,FC, and resale value. help naman po thanks

sa specs nilang dalawa, it won't depend on either weight or displacement na. ang palagay ko ang magiging deciding factor nyan yung driver quality. atulin akotse dapat atulin adriver :P

gusto ko nga sana idagdag yung altis 2.0 curb weight=1250 kaso 141 ps nga lang sya compared sa honda and lancer na 155 ps

BTT: Lancer might be faster due to the Manual Transmission's gear ratios, assuming you can shift gears faster than the A/T can.

Mas economy-oriented yata ang gearing ng A/T compacts.

kung curb weight lang babasehan, the lancer ex definitely is faster since its 5kg lighter than the civic. pero marami kasi factors involved.

siguro sa transmission na magkakatalo. may napanood ako sa youtube na iniwan ng EX GT-A yung 2.0S-L FD eh. not sure kung modified yung engines nila.

dami kc akong naririnig na sinasabing dapat 6 speed mt ang gear ng lancer ex m/t, and sabi nila mabagal ang 1st gear, pero cguro glx na kukunin ko pogi din kc eh

The Civic 2.0 5-speed AT accelerates faster than the Lancer 2.0 CVT. As for top speeds... all else being equal, both cars should hit 200... both have about 150 hp.

And the Lancer weighs almost 1.4 tons. The Civic weighs around 1.3 tons... the Lancer that weighs only 1.2 tons is the previous generation Lancer 2.0 GT, which has a first gear so ridiculously long that a Vios could outdrag it to 100 kmh... :hysterical:

But if all you're interested in is "faster", irregardless of everything else, then the fastest accelerating cars you can buy for compact money on the market are the Focus TDCi and the Civic 1.8 MT. The Civic 2.0 MT was faster still, but they don't sell the 2.0 with a manual anymore. After those three, you have the Subaru Impreza 2.0R MT (the AT is another potential Vios victim) and the Lancer 2.0 MT... both feel equally quick, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Lancer is faster, as the Subaru is over 1.4 tons and has to deal with the drag of the AWD drivetrain.
